Enrolling puts a student on a class roster and adds the class's tuition to their family's account. You enroll students from their family's page. Families can also sign themselves up through online registration.

Before you start#

The student needs to be in FrontRow. If the family is new, add them first. See Add a family.

Enroll a student#

  1. Open Students in the menu and find the student.
  2. Open the menu at the end of their row and choose View Profile.
  3. In the Students card, choose the student's tab (if the family has more than one), then select Enroll.
  4. Choose the class. Full classes are marked "(full, waitlist)".
  5. Add a Start date (optional) if they're starting later than the next class.
  6. Select Enroll.

You'll see a message confirming they're enrolled, and the class appears under Classes on their tab.

What if the class is full?#

If you pick a full class, the button changes to Add to waitlist. The student goes on the class's waitlist and the message tells you their place in line. See Manage a class waitlist.

What if the student doesn't fit the class?#

If the student is outside the class's age range or level, FrontRow tells you why and doesn't enroll them. If the teacher or director has agreed to make an exception, tick Enroll anyway (shown with the student's name) and select Enroll again. This skips the rules for that student only.

What about billing?#

The class's tuition is added to the family's account based on your tuition plan and billing setup. It's collected the way your studio has set up billing, such as autopay. See How charges work.

Check who's enrolled#

On the class page, the Roster tab lists everyone on the roster and the waitlist. Select a student's name to jump to their family.

Made a mistake?#

If you enrolled a student in the wrong class, withdraw them and enroll them in the right one. See Withdraw or move a student.

Who can do this#

Owners, admins and front desk staff can enroll students. Teachers can see the rosters of the classes they teach.
