Classes and enrollment2 min read
Plans change. You might move a class to a new room, hand it to another teacher, or stop offering it. This article covers each of those.
Find a class#
Open Classes in the menu. You can:
- Switch between All Classes, Active, Inactive and Drafts.
- Switch between List and Calendar views.
- Search by class name, teacher or room, and sort by start time, name, enrollment or capacity.
Select a class to see a quick summary on the side, or open the menu at the end of its row and choose Open class page for everything about it.
Edit a class#
- Open the class page.
- Select Edit at the top.
- Change what you need: title, description, term, room, teacher, days, times, capacity, tuition plan or ages.
- Select Save class in the bar at the bottom. To throw away your changes, select Discard.
Good to know: Changing the time, days or room changes the class's upcoming meetings on the calendar. To change just one meeting (for example a single week in a different room, or a cancellation), change that meeting on the calendar instead. See Cancel or change a session.
Hide a class from online registration#
If a class is full for the season or you're still setting it up, hide it instead of deleting it:
- Select Edit on the class page.
- Untick Show in online registration.
- Select Save class.
The class keeps its students and its place on the calendar. Families just can't find it on your registration page. Hidden classes appear under Inactive (or Drafts if they have no meetings yet) on the Classes page.
Delete a class#
- On the Classes page, open the menu at the end of the class's row.
- Choose Delete class and confirm.
This removes the class from the schedule. The students stay on their family accounts. It's a good idea to withdraw enrolled students first so their future charges stop the way you expect. See Withdraw or move a student.
What the class page shows#
- Overview: how full the class is, its details (teacher, ages, level, when and where it meets, dates), the description, and the upcoming meetings, with a shortcut to take attendance.
- Roster: everyone enrolled and the waitlist. The menu at the end of each student's row lets you freeze, transfer or withdraw them. If the class has a level with skills, its skills sheet is here too.
- Settings: the tuition plan and price, drop-in price, program, and any Required gear.
Select Print roster for a printable list of students, or Download CSV on that page for a spreadsheet file (CSV).
Who can do this#
Only owners and admins can edit, hide or delete classes. Teachers only see the roster of classes they teach.
