Terms of service
The agreement between your studio and us: what we provide, what you're responsible for, how money works, and how either side ends it.
Draft, not yet legal advice. This page sets out the commercial shape of the agreement as a basis for counsel to turn into binding terms. It is not a reviewed contract and is excluded from search indexing until it is.
1. The service
FrontRow is software for running a studio: scheduling, registration, billing, communication, a family portal and an optional website. We provide it as a hosted service, and we may change or improve it over time. Where a change removes something you rely on, we'll tell you before it happens.
2. Your account
- One account is one studio. You're responsible for who you invite and what role you give them.
- Owners and administrators must use two-factor authentication. This is not optional, and is enforced by the service.
- You're responsible for the accuracy of what you put in: class times, tuition amounts, and the charges you raise against families.
3. Payments to you
Your studio holds its own Stripe account and is the merchant of record for everything your families pay. We take no application fee on those payments. Stripe's processing fees and its own terms apply directly to you, and chargebacks, disputes and refunds are between your studio, your family and Stripe.
Where you choose to pass card costs on as a surcharge, you are responsible for whether that is lawful where you operate. The service restricts surcharging to credit cards and caps the amount, but it cannot tell you what your state allows.
4. Payments to us
Subscription fees, billing period and what happens on non-payment. TODO: complete once pricing is set. See pricing.
5. Your data
Your studio's data is yours. You can export it in full at any time, and we don't sell it or use it to train models for anyone else. We process it to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy.
6. Acceptable use
- Don't use the messaging tools to send anything you don't have consent to send. The service enforces consent and quiet hours, but the obligation is yours.
- Don't attempt to access another studio's data, or probe the service for vulnerabilities without telling us first.
7. Availability and limits
We work hard to keep the service up and the books correct, but we don't promise it will never be unavailable. TODO: service level commitment, liability cap and indemnities, for counsel to complete.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service at any time and export your data on the way out. We'd only suspend an account for non-payment or for a serious breach of section 6, and we'd tell you why.
