Sign up for FrontRow and walk through the six setup steps that get your studio ready for families.
Getting started3 min read
Setting up a new studio takes one sitting. You create your account, confirm your email, then a short guided setup walks you through rooms, your schedule, your season and payments. You can stop at any point and pick it up later.
- On the FrontRow website, choose Try Now. (If sign-ups aren't open yet, you'll see Get early access instead, and you can join the waitlist.)
- Enter your Work email.
- Choose your Business type, such as a dance studio, cheer program or gym.
- Choose a Password of at least 10 characters.
- Select Start setup.
Good to know: Your business type sets the starter class styles and the words FrontRow uses (for example, "students" or "athletes"). It can't be changed after your studio is created, so pick the one that fits best.
Confirm your email#
We send a confirmation link to the email you entered. Open it, enter the password you just chose, and select Confirm email. You're signed in and taken straight into setup.
- The link expires after 24 hours and works once.
- Didn't get it? Check your spam folder. On the Check your email page you can send a new link. Always use the newest one.
The six setup steps#
A progress bar at the top shows which step you're on. Select Continue to move on, or Back to go back.
- Tell us about your studio. Enter your Studio name and Studio time zone, pick what you teach, and choose the rooms or spaces you schedule (at least one).
- Where does your schedule live today? Pick the system you're coming from, choose Detect it from my files, or choose Nowhere yet, starting fresh. If you're partway through a season, tick In the middle of a season? so suggested dates start today.
- Bring your schedule over. Upload exports from your old system, or select Start from a blank schedule. Prefer help? Select Hand it off and the FrontRow team will set things up with you.
- Here is your week. Review your classes by day and room and fix anything that looks off, then select Looks right, continue. If your week is empty, you can add your first class here.
- Set your term once. Give your term a name, set when it Starts and Ends, and choose how you charge tuition (Each month or per term in installments).
- Two things that take time. Select Connect Stripe (the payment company FrontRow uses to process cards) and start approval for text messages. Both need outside approval, so starting early helps. You can also select Do both later.
When you select Finish setup, you'll see your registration link, ready to copy and share with families, plus a short list of anything still to do. Select Go to my dashboard when you're ready.
Stop and come back later#
Select Save and finish later at the top of any step. Everything you've saved so far stays saved, and you can finish the rest from Studio settings whenever you like.
What to have handy#
- Your studio's name and time zone
- The names of your rooms
- Your term dates
- Exports from your old system, if you're switching
- Your bank details and business tax ID, for connecting payments
